Pastor Sean Harris Brings Shame To Congregation of Berean Baptist Church

When Pastor Sean Harris used the altar of his church to advocate violence against children, he commited his congregation to the task of justifying their willingness to remain associated with the church. Below is what Harris said and a small sample of over 130 comments written to the Berean Baptist Church's Google Maps page. The question now is how many member's will do the right thing? - Will they disassociate themselves from Pastor Sean Harris as President Obama did from Pastor Jeremiah Wright? - Sadly, there where way too many enthuseastic "AMENS!" captured on the videotape of the shocking sermon. WWJD?

Pastor Sean Harris said the following to his congregation:

"So your little son starts to act a little girlish when he is four years old and instead of squashing that like a cockroach and saying, 'Man up, son, get that dress off you and get outside and dig a ditch, because that is what boys do,' you get out the camera and you start taking pictures of Johnny acting like a female and then you upload it to YouTube and everybody laughs about it and the next thing you know, this dude, this kid is acting out childhood fantasies that should have been squashed.



Dads, the second you see your son dropping the limp wrist, you walk over there and crack that wrist. Man up. Give him a good punch. Ok? You are not going to act like that. You were made by God to be a male and you are going to be a male. And when your daughter starts acting too butch, you reign [sic] her in. And you say, 'Oh, no, sweetheart. You can play sports. Play them to the glory of God. But sometimes you are going to act like a girl and walk like a girl and talk like a girl and smell like a girl and that means you are going to be beautiful. You are going to be attractive. You are going to dress yourself up.'"

ANNETTE - This man ought to be ashamed of himself. There have recently been published reports which say that many men who are highly homophobic are harboring latent homosexual tendencies. Seems to me that Pastor Sean "doth protest too much." Let's see - he's advocating child abuse, violence, homophobia - what a wonderful Christian he is! I heard some of his congregants laughing when he told them to punch their children and crack their wrists. He really needs to be called out for his hateful and violent rhetoric. What a sad excuse for a human being.



DARDEN -This is a horrible place to worship. How truly frightening to hear the congregation egg this dreadful man on during this sermon ! I love Jesus. Jesus was a wonderful teacher and a wonderful human being he would NEVER have given this sermon! Jesus loved children. Love you child and understand your child and help your child. This man is a creep!



BRUCE - Further proof that the far-right bigots who have enjoyed so much attention lately are anti-Christian, violence-prone, hateful to their fellow Americans, and should have absolutely ZERO influence on public policy. They do not understand or believe in the Christian ideals that our nation was founded upon, and they are the enemy of freedom and everything this fine country stands for. Pastor Sean has committed a mortal sin by using the name of Christ to incite violence, and he and his followers will burn in Hell for using God as cover for their narrow-minded, ignorant, violent beliefs. Leave this church or be judged harshly, not only by God, but by your neighbors and all true Christians and American patriots.



DREGONE - I went in to pay a visit to Pastor Sean Harris about my thoughts and how to coupe with them. I asked if their was anyway he could help me in my darkest hours, he then replied with a long sigh and ran his hand up my thigh and touched my penis! I was outraged and told him I was going to report this to the media. He told me "Ronnie, I am a homosexual and I to do not know how to coupe with such feelings so I tell my followers to beat the gay out of their kids, I am terribly sorry Ronnie I can not help myself". I knew it, this is why he hates gay people, it is because he is in denial! Instead of giving him all this hate, lets help Pastor Sean Harris come out of the closet!
