Bill O'Reilly has criticized the media for describing Anders Behring-Breivik, the man who has admitted to committing the mass killings in Norway, as a Christian, saying that such a thing was "impossible."
O'Reilly singled out the New York Times, which called Breivik a "Christian extremist" in an article. Breivik also referred to himself as a Christian, as did the Norwegian police, not to mention his 1,500 page manifesto which makes reference to Christian crusaders known as The Knights Templar.
O'Reilly was manic as he concluded that it was "impossible" for Breivik to be a Christian. And certainly not just because he (Brevic) said so himself.
"No one believing in Jesus commits mass murder," he said. "The man might have called himself a Christian on the net, but he is certainly not of that faith...we can find no evidence, none, that this killer practiced Christianity in any way."

Why Can't Bill O'Reilly Just Admit He Was Wrong About Bin Laden?
Why can’t Fox News and Bill O’Reilly just admit they're wrong about the killing of Osama Bin Laden? Allen over at The Liberal Viewer You Tube Channel outlines in a video that the local Fox News affiliate got it wrong right from the start.
There was a misleading banner along the lower 1/3 of the television screen that read:
“OBAMA BIN LADEN DEAD” Fox News is famous for these banner mishaps, but in all fairness, I think this was just a case of missing punctuation. It would make more since in the following format “OBAMA: BIN LADEN DEAD” as if Obama was making the announcement that Bin Laden was dead. Besides this banner error, the local Fox affiliate also reported that Bin Laden had been killed almost a week earlier by a bomb. Of course, this was just false reporting.
But where Bill O’Reilly is clearly wrong was during a 2008 interview with then Senator Obama on the topic of a potential Bin Laden capture. In a campaign speech, candidate Obama said that if the United States had actionable intelligence that Osama Bin Ladin was hiding in Pakistan and Pakistan was unwilling or unable to assist, he wouldn’t hesitate to go in and get him. Bill O’Reilly went after Obama in the video below over that very comment from the Denver speech.
BILL O’REILLY: “You gave a speech in Denver. Good speech by the way, but you bloviated about McCain not following him (Bin Laden) to the cave. You’re not going to invade Pakistan Senator if you’re president. You’re not gonna send ground troops in there. You know it!”
Well, that is exactly what Barack Obama did when he became president. For some reason, Bill O’Reilly just can’t bring himself to admit he was wrong. Not just slightly wrong, but categorically wrong. I take particular offense to O’Reilly's comment that Obama “Bloviated” about capturing Osama Bin Ladin.

Come on O’Reilly! – Just admit it! - There was nothing inflated or empty about Obama’s campaign promise to capture and kill Osama Bin Ladin. If anyone “bloviated” it was George W. Bush when he shouted through a bullhorn on that rubble pile at ground zero. Remember Bill? – How George W. Bush promised that Bin Ladin “would be hearing from all of us soon.” That was bloviating.
Remember when George W. Bush spoke from the flight deck of The Abraham Lincoln and announced that combat operations in Iraq were over? Remember how he made that announcement beneith that enormous "mission accomplished" banner? -That was bloviating.
As it turns out, it was Barack Obama that took care of Osama Bin Laden and ended combat operations in Iraq. That's not bloviating, it's just a fact.

I wonder if Bill O’Reilly will summon his own body language expert to The Factor set to review the body language of his fearless leader and son?
From what I could see, squirming would not be too far from an accurate description. Of course, an attempted pie-in-the-face surely helped to remind everyone about the public outrage surrounding the whole sordid mess. It has made the Murdoch name the News of The World…. ironically.

Bill O'Reilly Gets Schooled By Rachel Maddow
Since her arrival at MSNBC, Rachel Maddow has managed to avoid the on-air bickering that some of her colleagues frequently engage in with Fox News. But on Wednesday night, Bill O'Reilly went all "Shannon Daugherty" on Maddow in responce to her comments about Fox News and how their political agenda leads to false reporting such as in the case of ACORN and the recent Shirley Sherrod debacle.
However instead of responding directly to Maddow's comments and why he disagrees with them, Bill O'Reilly did what he always does. He metaphorically unzipped his pants and whipped out his big, fat, unbelievably huge ratings. As if his higher ratings invalidates Maddows comments.
O'REILLY: Fox News "kicks your network's butt every single night, madam" — and — "You have to be kidding with this fake ACORN scandal stuff. Unbelievable. Do you live in this country?"
I'm not sure what O'Reilly thought would come of his on-air message to Rachel Maddow, but the next night she humorously schooled Bill O'Reilly by pointing out how he fell back on ratings to avoid the substance of her argument, which is that stories like the Shirley Sherrod scandal are exactly what Fox News is all about. But since ratings are so important to Bill O'Reilly, Maddow let the air out of O'Reilly's overinflated ratings ego. She pointed out how shows like Sponge Bob, The Deadliest Catch, and Hannah Montana beat both her show and O'Reilly's show.
MADDOW: "You can insult us all you want about television ratings, Mr. O'Reilly, and you'll be right that yours are bigger for now and maybe forever. You are the undisputed champion. But even if no one watches us at all, except for my mom and my girlfriend and people who forgot to turn off the TV after Keith, you are still wrong on what really matters and that would be the
facts, your highness."

Fox News and Looney Lt. Col. Ralph Peters Blast NYT
As usual, Bill O'Reilly said just enough to make it seem that he was challenging Peters. But O'Reilly also repeatedly gave Peters the openings to make the kinds of accusations that anyone whom has ever heard Peters before would surely make.
"So why do they (The New York Times) do it?" Billo asked Peters, in what was obviously a deliberate attempt to provide Peters with an opportunity to go on the attack against the Times. O’Reilly’s lack of a poker face combined with Peters history, it's hard to believe he didn’t know what he was setting up. "Does (Times head) Sulzberger dislike America that much that he wants to hurt American citizens? Or just does he not know any better?"
This is just another typical Fox News spin piece where they ask more questions then providing answers. The task of "answers" is left to thier Fox News Contributors and Analysts like Lt. Col. Peters and Half-term Gov. Sarah Palin.

O’Reilly claimed he had researched whether “anybody on Fox News had ever said, ‘you’re going to jail if you don’t buy health insurance.’” He concluded, “Nobody’s ever said it.” I think O'Reilly needs a new researcher. Later, O’Reilly revealed what I think really bugged him about Coburn’s remarks: “You know, YOU KNOW, that the far-left cranks that dominate the media took what you said and ran with it all day long.”
Fox News' Gag Order Re: O'Keefe Wiretap Case Pending Federal Indictment
Now it's Fox News that's doing the ignoring. Now that O'Keefe has graduated from violating state law to violating federal law, Fox is not so quick to circle the wagons this time around. During thier shows last night, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, and Bill O'Reilly didn't utter a peep about this up and coming "G. Gordon Liddy" wannbe.
Now to be "Fair & Balanced" - On his radio show today, Fox News host Glenn Beck condemned James O’Keefe's actions and I have to say, he didn't hold back. It just leaves me wondering why Beck wouldn't use his highly rated cable show at Fox News to opine in the same manner that he did on his radio program. I suspect that it wasn't Beck's decision to make.
BECK: If they were doing that — that’s Watergate. Insanely stupid and illegal. … I haven’t heard his side, but you don’t do anything illegal, that’s Watergate territory. You just don’t do that. And besides that I don’t think you go dressed up —I mean it’s a senator. For the love of Pete, it’s a senator.

Fox reporter Tim Gaughan tried to downplay the news yesterday, saying, “[It's a] very weird story that probably needs a lot of context and a lot of looking into.” I think that when anyone walks into a federal building posing as someone else, particularly posing a public utility worker or some other profession for the purpose of validating their presence, there is not alot of looking into or context required to conclude that there is a news story here.
Regardless of what they hoped to do to or learn about the phone system in Sen. Landrieu's office, these men do not understand the seriousness of what they have already admitted to the FBI. It is against the law to enter a federal building under false pretenses and O'Keefe has already admitted that to the FBI without having ever read Sections 1036 and 1362 of Title 18:

If Beck, Hannity, and O'Reilly worked at The Food Channel and hosted cooking shows, that would be one thing. But when you host political cable programs for a cable news network, covering a story about wiretapping the offices of a United States Senator cannot be overlooked. Well.....is suppose it can be overlooked since this is a free country. But please don't get all defensive and stomp your feet when people question the ligitimacy of your network as a reliable source for news and information.

Fox News' Lt. Col Ralph Peters Is Dangerous
Lt. Col Ralph Peters is The Fox News Channels idea of a military analyst, yet every appearance is completely void of any analyitcal substance regarding the issue at hand.
What Peters offers in lieu of analysis, is a breathtaking soliloquy of incindiary rhetoric without fail. The video that I have edited below is based on his “analysis” of the tragic sghooting at Ft. Hood by Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan during his appearance in a segment with Bill O’Reilly.
Instead of asking a question, O’Reilly offered up his “what say you” introduction. Peters wasted no time in referring to the event as the worst terrorist attack on American soil since 9/11pausing just long enough to criticize Military Brass and President Obama for not running immediately to the highest mountain top to proclaim the event at a “Terrorist attack at the hands of a muslim extremest”
“We just need to get a grip on this and put it in perspective. Very straight forward. What happened yesterday at Ft Hood. was the worst terrorist attack on American Soil since 9/11. It was commited by a muslim fanatic who shouted Allah is great and gunned down 44 unarmed innocent soldiers and civilians. And our President tells us not to rush to judgement. To wait until all of the facts are in. What facts are we waiting for? This was an islamist terrorist attackand I’m sorry if it’s inconvenient for Washington to face the facts, but there is no question about it. It was a terrorist attack, it was committed by an islamist. we knew he was an islamist, military did nothing about it out of political correctness. So, Bill what am I missing?”
Well….becides having a few screws loose and/or missing, Lt. Col. Peters want’s “President Obama to take a stand and stop all of this – Oh! there is no islamist terrorism” which President Obama never said. Furthermore, Peters said earlier that President Obama doesn’t want us to rush to judgement.
I find it Ironic that the first words out of Lt. Col. Peters mouth when apparing on Fox News with Julie Bandaras.
“Well…first of all Julie I want to stress we must wait until all of the fact are in before we make a final judgement.”
This is the exact course of action that President Obama is taking, but the difference in the mind of an absolute fucking whack job like Lt. Col Peters is that Pvt. Bergdahl is a 23 year old white boy from Ohio, while President Obama and Maj. Hasan are not. Therefore utalizing the same sound judgement of waiting for all of the facts to come in is suddenly not the right course of action when it’s coming from a half-breed President regarding a Sandnigger Army Major. Now am I trying to hint around that Lt. Col. Peters distain for President Obama and Maj. Hasan is based on thier race. Absolutely not! – In no way, shape, form, or fashion am I hinting around about any such thing. I’m saying it flat out! – Not only is Lt. Col. Peters nuttier than a Chinese Chicken Salad, he’s a fucking racist! – PERIOD!
Now I’m just going to leave it at that before I endup saying something rude or offensive. If Fox News had a half a brain, they’d fire Col. Peters and find someone else. ANYONE! – Col. In the weeks and months leading up to the lynching of 51-year-old Bill Sparkman, it was Fox News Channels Glenn Beck who was stirring the pot of fear and conspiracy regarding the U.S. Census. During a segement, Beck asked guest Judge Andrew Napolitano:
“Who will be first to grab the pitch-fork? – Who will be the first TO SNAP if these people (Census Waorkers) don’t stop playing these games!?!?”

On Saturday, a user on Face book posted a poll asking, “Should Obama be killed?” The blogger GottaLaff spotted the poll yesterday and called the Secret Service, which has now launched an investigation. “We are aware of [the poll], and we will take the appropriate investigative steps,” said Darrin Blackford, a Secret Service spokesman. “We take these things seriously.”
Face book has taken down the offensive poll and disabled the third-party application that was used to create it. Barry Schnitt, Facebook’s spokesman for policy, also told ThinkProgress that the company was following up with the developer to make sure that the application has “better procedures in place going forward to monitor their user-generated content.”

Nevertheless, it doesn't mean that he's not good at it because he is. But, like Sarah Palin, the message is so inciteful that it only draws in a large, but insignificant percentage of the electorate.

What does he mean by that? - "The way our founding fathers intended it to be." - A virtually all-white nation of rich slave owners, and then everyone else? That's what the far left of my party might believe, but I think what Beck means is a spiritual nation based on religious values. A nation where everyone is equal, but just as long as everyone understands that they're only equal whitin your own ecomic and racial station in life.
Being a resident of California and particularly the L.A. area, I'm reminded of the sujbect of imigration, illegal or otherwise, more often then most. While my position leans mostly to the right on the subject, it's difficult for me to say that because my reasoning is nowhere near the narrative of the likes of Glenn Beck, Lou Dobbs, O'Reilly, Hannity, Limbaugh, or any of the other rightwing pipe-dreamers force feed to their fans and new recruits.
I'm not sure when or how the word immigration became synonimous with the word Mexican, but I've never heard a single one of these people utter a word about the number of immigrants of other ethnicities. It's not as if the government isn't aware of how many people are in this country on expired visas, the question is why these immigrants aren't a focus of government concern since we have their fucking names and dates of birth on file! - But hey! - Ya know what? - Let's forget about all of these immigrants who are buying up our land, businesses, and industry street by street, block after block. Let's all be minute-men and run these fucking beaners back to Chihuahua Ville just incase my kid wants that dream job at the carwash, or selling oranges at the freeway offramp.
In fact, one day as I was getting off the Centrury Freeway at Crenshaw, I came across an orange vendor peddling his wares under the scorching mid-day sun. It wasn't as if this was anything new to me because I had seen it a million times before. What made this time different was the contrast between the man that came to this country under the cover of drakness, willing to do what he was doing at that moment, and do it for what certainly could not be very much. And then the man who had always been here, sitting in the shade provided by the shadow of the off-ramp sign, with a fucking sign asking for a hand out.
I bought 25 lbs of oranges in hopes of showing my lazy fellow American that people are more willing to help those who are actively trying to help themselves. What I really wanted to do was to tell him to "GET A FUCKING JOB!", but there's no benefit in that.
I had no idea just how deep racism ran among those on the far right until I attended a meeting with a co-worker who mistook some of my right leaning ideologies as a sign that I was a raging righty. Here is the bottom line with these people when it comes to Obama and Sotomayor. "We can't have a bunch of Niggers and Mexicans calling the shots in the country!" - One man said with a sense of calmness that frightened me.
I thought that I was going to a prep meeting for a "Take Our Ballot Back" event, which is a spin-off of the Tea Party, but it felt more like a God Damn Ku Klux Klan Rally. Can you imagine a guy named Chico being invited to a Klan Rally? -
That type of opinion was not the message spoken by anyone on behalf of the event, but it was running hot and heavy among some of those in attendance. Not all to the extream as that crazy comment, but over the course of two hours I heard the "N" word used 6 times. Four in refrence to President Obama and twice in reference to Attorney General Eric Holder.
These people didn't speak too kindly about Micheal Steel either, but they didn't use the "N" word against him. From what they did say about Steel, they have a belief that he's window dressing and a result of affirmative action.
They see Steel as the "well-spoken" type of "black guy" and as long as he just keeps "doing a little soft-shoe and hums a few bars of Baby Loves Shortenin' or whatever the RNC has him doing", they'll tolerate him. And I have to tell you, I don't think this would come as a surprise to Micheal Steel. Not becasuse he wouldn't expect it, but rather because it may not be news to him. The entire experience was surreal and an eye-opener to say the least. One man said that he tries to follow counter protesters (Lefty's) back to their cars to see if he can snap a picture of their license plate with his camera phone.
"I gotta friend at the DMV, so we can find out where these fuckers live." He said.
I was fairly certain that he was lying after talking to a high school friend who is now a CHP officer. There's been a real crack-down on just running license plate numbers through the database all willy-nilly. I guess running a license plate number is trackable to the person who did it and if there are an unusual amout of inquirys without a traffic citation or DVM fee or payment matching up with that inquiry, it does not go un-noticed. Nevertheless, hearing shit like that from this guy is the last thing that someone less stable then himself needs to hear. I couldn't imagine this guy having a friend that worked, muchless one that worked at the DMV, but I digress.
Somewhere deep down in the pea-brains of Glenn Back, Sean Hannity, and Bill O'Reilly, they think that by registering as Independants and Libitarians that it renders their rhetoric not in support of the Republican Party? -
And now we have Lou Dobbs going off the deep end,
which is a good thing because I wish I had a nickle for every time someone thought to themselves "Jeeze! - Lou Dobbs is starting to sound like Glenn Back, or Hannity, or O'Reilly. If it's not Immigration and runnung these Mexicans back across the border, it's McCain or some other republic trying to disguise their racism.
Sometimes you have to wonder if John McCain possesses any stratigic skills whatsoever. He comes out today and announces that he will not be supporting Sonya Sotomayor, and sites reasons that her judicial history do not support.
These are the types of choices that republicans make on a daily basis. John McCain chose a minimaly educated white woman to take the second highest office in the land, but couldn't bring himself to support a highly educated fedreal court judge who is a Latina and was already sitting on the bench when Sarah Palin was still taking bong rips in her dorm room. Yet, I'd be the one accused of being a racist for pointing out the obvious fact that John McCain beleive that a stipid white bitch beats a smart beaner any day of the week. I'm sure that there are many things that Sarah Palin is qualified to do, but becoming the Vice President or a Supreme Court Judge aren't among them.
Let me see if I can sum up Sarah Palin using the Glenn Beck method of summing shit up. "I'm not saying that Sarah Palin is a fucking idiot, I'm just saying that she's nuttier then a Chinese Chicken Salad and that she doesn't like darkies. Ya know, up there in Alaska where the real Americans live - That's all.

O'Reilly & Olbermann Get A Timeout From The Brass
Rivalry between some of the cable news channels has started to escalate beyond simple name calling and bragging over ratings.
It seems that MSNBC and FOX NEWS are leading the way with thier daily banter that is starting to look more like an east coast / west coast gangsta rap war.
For example, on July 9, Olbermann, commenting on reports that Murdoch's London tabloids had to settle lawsuits for illegal wiretaps, said "why did News Corp. go to all that trouble, rather than just get the secret personal information from the Bush administration?"
O'Reilly, meanwhile, accused NBC News on June 18 of being in President Obama's pocket and said last month that "there is compelling evidence that NBC is giving President Obama favorable treatment so that GE will be awarded billions, billions, in government contracts."
A Fox News spokeswoman said "we can't comment on any meeting that may or may not have taken place between Mr. Murdoch and Mr. Immelt," while a News Corp. spokeswoman declined to comment. A General Electric spokesperson was unavailable to comment.
News Corp. chief Rupert Murdoch (FOX) and General Electric chief Jeffrey Immelt (MSNBC) met up at -- appropriately enough -- the Microsoft CEO summit in Redmond, Wash., to figure out how to diffuse tensions between the two channels, Company Town has learned. The primary focus of the chit-chat was the back-and-forth sniping between MSNBC's Keith Olbermann and Fox's Bill O'Reilly. The two often exchange insults, Olbermann by name, O'Reilly by insinuation.
If Immelt and Murdoch took their message of peace and love back to their respective news channels, it doesn't seem to have taken. Olbermann, who generally is the aggressor, has been attacking Fox News and O'Reilly on a regular basis. O'Reilly still takes occasional shots at MSNBC, NBC and General Electric.
A Fox News spokeswoman said "we can't comment on any meeting that may or may not have taken place between Mr. Murdoch and Mr. Immelt," while a News Corp. spokeswoman declined to comment. A General Electric spokesperson was unavailable to comment.
While Fox News and MSNBC don't get along, News Corp. and NBC are in bed together on other ventures including, most prominently, video site Hulu.com, which also counts Walt Disney Co. among its owners.
Since Murdoch and Immelt seem unable to get these two to play nice, maybe President Obama can bring them all in for a beer.
Stehpen Colbert Demands To Make Keith Olbermanns Worst Person List
As you may know, I declared myself Governor of South Carolina last night. I went power mad for abut 40 seconds before learning that Gov. Sanford was returning today.

If Bill O’Reilly doesn’t want to be blamed whenever some psycho goes off the deepend and brutaly murders a person that he has repeatedly demonized—as in the case of George Tiller, the doctor whom was shot dead in his church last Sunday by an anti-abortion zealot—then Mr. O’Reilly and all of the other wing-nuts over at Fox News might want to kick down their rhetoric a few thousand notches.
The Fox News Channel and particularly the O’Reilly Factor was the only place where I saw the relentless “Tiller The Killer” rhetoric, so it stands to reason that the shooter, Scott Roeder must have been fed the fuel via the same source. I see very little difference between Bill O’Reilly and one of these older islamic extreamist who pumps up a young jihadist until he straps on a bomb and goes and blows himself up in the middle of a crowded marketplace. O’Reilly kept up his rhetoric until his goal was accomplished and it’s no different then Hannity’s endless, and night after night “Obama’s a radical” rant that set some young white supremistsi off. Fortunately they where caught on the way the the democratic national convention before they could strike.
This type of rhetoric, which pumps up the ratings for O’Reilly and Hannity is no different then the sillyness that made the Jerry Springer show such a success. People will always love to tune in to watch the lowest forms of humanity turn against each other with little regard to consequence. It is in my opinion, the newest form of domestic terrorism.
Bill O'Reilly Ties Dr. Tiller Murder To Far Right
After yesterday’s brutal shooting of George Tiller, a Kansas doctor who administered abortions, many anti-choice groups quickly condemned the murder and attempted to separate themselves from the actions of the killer. Even Operation Rescue, which made Tiller a special target of its harassment over the years, denounced the killing as "vigilantism" and a "cowardly act."
O'Reilly said that the far left lunacy is exploiting the murder of Dr. Tillers by blaming Fox News for the crime. He also used the opportunity to attack his critics, saying they were trying to "exploit" the incident to attack Fox News. In particular, he singled out the writings of Helen Kennedy of the New York Daily News, Mary Mapes on the Huffington Post, Mike Hendricks of the Kansas City Star, Markos Moulitsas of DailyKos. O’Reilly blasted liberals who were "very very sympathetic" to Tiller and said one of the first things that he thought of when he heard the news of the killing was…himself:
When I heard about Tiller’s murder, I knew pro-abortion zealots and Fox News haters would attempt to blame us for the crime, and that’s exactly what has happened. [...]
No backpedaling here, madam [Mary Mapes]. Unlike you, I report honestly. Every single thing we said about Tiller was true, and my analysis was based on those facts. [...]
Now, it’s clear that the far left is exploiting — exploiting — the death of the doctor. Those vicious individuals want to stifle any criticism of people like Tiller. That — and hating Fox News — is the real agenda here. Finally, if these people are soooo compassionate — so very compassionate, so concerned for the rights and welfare of others — maybe they might have written something, one thing, about the 60,000 fetuses that will never become American citizens. Or am I wrong?
Besides repeatedly referring to the doctor as "Tiller the Baby Killer," what are some of the factual statements O’Reilly has made about Tiller over the years?
– "If you want to kill a baby, you hire Tiller. You’ve got to pay him $5,000 up front, and he’ll kill the baby."
– "No question Dr. Tiller has blood on his hands."
– "Dr. George Tiller destroys fetuses for just about any reason, right up until the birth date."
– "This man executes babies that are about to be born."
– "This is the kind of stuff happened in Mao’s China, Hitler’s Germany, Stalin’s Soviet Union."
In the past, O’Reilly has sent out producer Jesse Watters to ambush Gov. Kathleen Sebelius (D-KS) and ask her about Tiller. Although many people disagreed with what Tiller did, as President Obama responded, such differences "cannot be resolved by heinous acts of violence." "[T]he same bullet that killed George Tiller also shattered the moral underpinnings of the movement that inspired its firing," wrote Hendricks.

Civil War Emerges At Fox News: ‘We Don’t F*cking Torture’ Vs. ‘Torture, My Ass’
Since President Obama released the Bush administration's OLC torture memos, several Fox News pundits have launched unrelenting, full-throated defenses of torture. Bill O'Reilly dismissed waterboarding yesterday, saying, "Torture, my ass." Also yesterday, Sean Hannity volunteered to be waterboarded for charity (those who have tried it have found it to be rather unpleasant):
GRODIN: We can waterboard you?
HANNITY: Sure.
GRODIN: Are you busy on Sunday?
HANNITY: I'll do it for charity. ... I'll let you do it. I'll do it for the troops' families.

Surprisingly, Fox is not all pro-torture. In fact, there are a handful of pundits who are speaking out against torture at the right-wing network. In multiple segments over the past few days, Shep Smith has been ripping the idea of government-sanctioned torture. "We are America. We don't torture. And the moment that is not the case, I want off the train!" he declared Wednesday afternoon. Yesterday, in Fox's Strategy Room, which was only aired on the web, Smith's anger culminated in an explosion:
SMITH: WE ARE AMERICA! I DON'T GIVE A RAT'S ASS IF IT HELPS. WE ARE AMERICA! WE DO NOT FUCKING TORTURE! WE DON'T DO IT!
Fox News's Trace Gallagher responded, "I'm not saying whether torture is right or wrong. I'm not going there." Watch it (at roughly 3:00):
Smith isn't alone. Judge Andrew Napolitano ("The Judge") -- a staunch conservative -- said in the Strategy Room that the memos "are so fraught with disregarding volumes of law." This week, he wrote a scathing critique of the Bush administration's legal reasoning. "This is not rocket science and it is not art. Everyone knows torture when they see it," he wrote, decrying the "illegal horror," "moral antipathy," and the memos' "attack at core American values."
Furthermore, Fox contributor and former New York Times reporter Judy Miller said yesterday that "enhanced interrogation techniques" are "Orwellian. It's Orwellian for torture." It remains to be seen which faction will come out on top in this Fox News civil war.
Twitters Hacked: Fox News, Barack Obama, Rick Sanchez, Britney Spears

A flurry of high-profile Twitter accounts have been hacked, most prominently the Fox News account, which has declared that Bill O'Reilly is gay.
Fox News' Twitter posted an update, since deleted, Monday morning announcing, "Bill O Riley is gay."
CNN's Rick Sanchez, a prominent Twitter user, was also hacked. His malicious tweet read, "i am high on crack right now might not be coming to work today."
Britney Spears's Twitter also fell victim, with hackers announcing that her vagina is "4 feet wide with razor sharp teeth."
Update: Barack Obama's Twitter, which hasn't been used since November 5, has also been hacked. The Washington Times points out that a message was posted around 12:30 PM eastern time promoting a survey on Obama:
A message sent about 12:30 eastern time alerted the president-elect's tens of thousands of Twitter followers of a new message: "What is your opinion on Barack Obama? Take the survey and possibly win $500 in free gas." The message then linked to an odd two-question survey on a third party's Web site. The post was taken down shortly after it was posted.
Cable News War: MSNBC vs. FOX
With the tanking ecomony and cable subscribers cancelling service to cut expenses wherever possible, Fox, MSNBC, and CNN will have to work even harder to keep viewers interested. Even befor the FCC mandate for television broadcast to switch from analog to digital, cable subsribers are finding out that with the picture quality of DTV and increased channel options, dumping pay cable service is becoming easier to give up. That extra $60 to $100 can be better allocated elsewhere. Since local broadcasters can split there single analog signals into multiple DTV signals, MSNBC would be well served to simalcast the MSNBC feed through their local NBC affiliates for free nationwide. In turn, FOX could do the same thing. I think that Fox is going to have a much bigger adversary in MSNBC in 2009 with the addition of Rachel Maddow following Countdown with Keith Olberman. I watch MSNBC and FOX exclusively, but for very different reasons. I was drawn to MSNBC by Tim Russert and stayed a loyal viewer because of Keith Olbermann. I was drawn to FOX by Bill O'Reilly because I remembered him from A Current Affair which was a program I liked when it was on. However, I was shocked after just one episode of The Factor.
I grew up on local news with news caster like Jess Marlow and Jerry Dunphy with his standard opening of "From the desert to the sea, to all of Southern California, good evening." I see alot of what made Jerry Dunphy so widely respected by his viewers in Keith Olbermann and I'm telling you, they are the last of a dying breed. Fox news has become the not only the Jerry Springer version of cable news, but the Shady Acres for washed up has-beens like Brit Hume and Chris Wallace.
ANSWER: Bill O'Reilly and the O'Reilly clan marching in a St. Patricks Day Parade.
I was offended by it spacifically because of the word "clan" after O'Reilly's name. The person who posted it claimed that that wasn't what he meant and if it was, he would have spelled clan with a K. It made sence so in the spirit of being truely fair & balance, I left it unedited. Between Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity, President Obama is a going to be tag teamed. I just think it will backfire like the relentless Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright ranting. We are headed in a new direction in this country and the outcome of the election is proof of that. Let the games begin!
