GLENN BECK: “No one is saying that eugenics are coming.”
President Obama’s National Town Hall Meeting has the radical right scrambling for a new narrative. When the President spoke about the rumor that’s been circulating a lot lately about “this idea that somehow the House of Representatives voted for death panels that will basically pull the plug on grandma because we've decided that we don't — it's too expensive to let her live anymore.” It made the thought of such a thing sound ridiculous.

Sarah Palin, for whatever reason, rolled back her crazy comment about “death panels” almost as soon as it left her mouth. Now the one how is losing advertisers left and right, Glenn Beck" on his show says to my dismay that “No one is saying that eugenics are coming.” But then follows that up with a 17th century history lesson about the origin of eugenics and how it all began with “American and British socialists and progressives.”

“Eugenics is not an idea and it did not start with the Nazis, but with American and British socialists and progressives who thought that through measures like prohibition and later, birth control, they could cure the ills of modern society, such as poor public hygiene, rising population among lower classes and urban crowding.”

There is little doubt that the loss of advertisers has Beck on housecleaning duty. He spends a few seconds in a segment alluding to the fact that people must be misinterpreting The Glenn Beck Show. No Glenn – You message has been received loud and clear by those that are predisposed to that sort of message. Your show, Mr. Beck is a dog whistles for white supremacy, bigots, and the fucking Ku Klux Klan. Plain and simple.

“America, there is so much anger and hatred in this country right now and it is important that we have an honest conversation here and understand clearly what is being said on this program.”
